3rd September 2022, Onam Celebration

On September 3rd, the school celebrated the traditional festival of Onam with great enthusiasm and excitement. Onam is a harvest festival celebrated in the southern Indian state of Kerala and is known for its vibrant colors, traditional costumes, and delicious food.

The teachers of the school put on traditional Kerala dress, adding to the festive atmosphere of the occasion. The school was decorated with beautiful flower carpets, known as 'Pookalam,' made by the teachers.

As part of the celebration, traditional Kerala sweets, including the famous 'Payasam' or porridge, were distributed among the students and teachers. The students were also taught about the significance of Onam and the various rituals and customs associated with the festival.

The celebration of Onam is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the diverse cultural heritage of India and appreciate the customs and traditions of different regions. The school is committed to organizing such events that foster cultural understanding and help students develop a sense of appreciation for different cultures and traditions.
