Rules of Discipline

  • Punctuality and regularity in attendance, proper uniform, earnest effort in home work, assignments and polite behavior inside and outside the school are always insisted on and in all these matters the parent`s full co-operation is expected at all times.
  • Pupils must stand up smartly and greet teachers who enter the classroom. They must also stand when the teacher leaves the classroom.
  • Honesty is expected of every pupil. If a pupil finds something which does not belong to him / her ,he /she should inform the Principal of the articles found and leave the same in the office. Pupils who lose the articles may also enquire about them in the office.
  • Students are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school. Hence misbehavior in public places and conveyances justifies dismissal.
  • Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, objectionable moral behavior and above all, discourtesy and disrespect to teachers are each a sufficient cause for suspension or dismissal.
  • Pupils must come to school neatly dressed in proper school uniform. Untidy clothes, torn shoes, rubber slippers etc. will not tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Pupils are not allowed to leave the school premises without permission from the Principal.
  • No fine of any kind or collection for any purpose whatsoever may be made without the permission of the Principal.
  • During the absence of the teacher from the class, students must obey the Prefect or the Monitor appointed to maintain good order.
  • Damage to the school property, however slight, will not be condoned. Stringent disciplinary measure will be taken against such offenders and the parents will have to bear the expense for repair / replacement of the damaged property.
  • All students are expected to participates in the games programme. Credit will be given for effective participation. Every pupil must take part in physical training and games unless declared unfit on medical grounds and is exempted by the principal. Students are forbidden to join any outside sports organizations without the prior permission of the Principal or the teacher in-charge
  • As English is the medium of instruction, students are expected to speak in English at all times.

General Rules

  • While every care will be taken to prevent accidents, the management will not be liable for injuries and accidents sustained by the pupils in the course of everyday activities.
  • The school cannot be held responsible for the security of the pupils before and after the school hours.
  • The school is not responsible for goods lost. Therefore , it is not advisable to bring valuable articles like expensive pens, watches, gold ornaments etc. to school.
  • No pupils permitted to engage any of the teachers of this school as a private tutor without the written permission of the Principal.
  • If a teacher , by speech or otherwise, seeks to mislead his/her students to activities, deemed objectionable, he/she is liable to be punished for misconduct.

“discipline is an integral part of the learning process and is essential for the all round development of the child.” The purpose of the following rules and regulations are to guide and assist in providing the student with a quality education. Students and parents are required to observe and to adhere to these rules:

  • Every student is given a copy of the school diary which must be brought daily to the school.
  • all pupils shall make themselves acquainted with the rules and regulations notified for their conduct. ignorance of rules will not be accepted as an excuse.
  • when the first bell rings the students are expected to be in their respective classes. when the second bell rings, they should assemble in silence and in order for assembly. follow the one way system while walking in a line.
  • punctual and regular attendance will be insisted upon. ate comers without written explanation from parents or guardian will not be admitted in class. irregular attendance, neglect of home assignment, misbehaviour even outside the school premises, insubordination to school authorities, will justify disciplinary action against the student.
  • Students who are absent for a month without permission will have their names struck off their rolls. if they seek re- admission they will be charged admission fees.
  • perfect silence must be observed in the class rooms. Class rooms are reserved for study only and not for recreation. any kind of damage caused by the pupil to school property such as equipments, furniture, building, etc., will have to be made good by the pupil himself or herself.
  • Students are expected to speak only in English when they are in the school campus.
  • Every student shall greet the teachers of the school when he or she meets them in the class or in the school premises.
  • No pupil is allowed to bring into the classroom any article, book or magazine not approved by the school.
  • No pupil shall enter any classroom other than his/her own without permission.
  • No pupil is allowed to leave the school premises without the permission of the principal/ class teacher.
  • All students are expected to take part in the assembly. Students desiring to be exempted from P.T. or games on medical grounds should produce a doctor’s certificate and get the approval from the principal.
  • Private tuitions are very much discouraged. The teachers are not permitted to give private tuitions. in exceptional cases, written permission shall be obtained from the principal.
  • Students who fail in the same class for 2 years in succession, will be given compulsory T.C., and also to students who discontinue the school during the year.
  • No pupil shall be promoted to the next higher standard unless the pupil has attended the classes for the required number of working days.
  • Students who come late or who have been absent on the previous day must bring the late attendance or absence record signed by the parents or guardian. late comers are liable to loose attendance for the day.
  • In all foreseen cases, leave of absence must be obtained beforehand from the principal. leave application for illness, must be validated by a medical practitioner.
  • Running, playing or shouting inside the school building is never allowed. when passing along the corridors, students shall keep silence.
  • No wrist watches, Gadgets, Mobiles and any electronic devices or any valuables and Jewellery is allowed except in case of girls, only one pair of small gold ear studs. Boys must not wear Jewellery. These rules are strictly enforced as a safe precaution.
