Admission & Fees

"The school fees (revised) and bus fees for the academic year 2022-23 can be paid online and offline with effect from Monday, 25th July 2022. There will be only two semesters to pay the fees. The mode of payment will be online and offline. Parents will get the Federal Bank link and user ID to pay the fees online in your respective mobile number as SMS. You can pay with UPI, Net Banking, credit card, and debit card. There will be no challan form for the fees payment. The students ID will be the user ID and date of birth of the student is the password.

You can pay the fees online at home, in the Bank and the school. You can pay in cash at school only. Bank will not accept any cash transactions. You can take the print out from online for your confirmation. If you are paying at Bank or school, kindly ask for a receipt immediately after the fees payment. The last date to pay the fees without fine will be on 25th August 2022.

Admissions

  • The Management reserves the right to admit or refuse pupils seeking admission to the school.
  • No child less than 2 years 10 months old on the first day of the academic year will be admitted to Pre-KG. At the time of admission, the following certificates should be attached with the application form:
    • Birth certificate. (once admitted NO CHANGE OF DATE OF BIRTH WILL BE ENTERTAINED.)
    • Original Transfer Certificate from the school last attended.(For the classes 1-10)
  • Pupils seeking admission in higher classes may be tested on the syllabus of the standard below the one to which they seek admission.
  • Admission is formally completed only when the form has been filled up and submitted to the office, fee dues are paid and the form is signed by the Principal.
  • Admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Any attempt to use influence, unfair means or recommendation for admission, will lead to automatic disqualification. The school does not have any agents for admission.

Promotions

  • Promotion to the next class depends on the whole year’s work, on regular attendance, on the overall development and the ability to cope with the next step in the Student’s Education.
  • Valuation of the academic performance will be based on the tests and examinations conducted and the assignments allotted from time to time.
  • A student must obtain 50% in all the subjects in order to be eligible for promotion to the next class.
  • Consideration will be shown for co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements.
  • Only those students with a minimum of 80% attendance of the working days during each academic year will be considered for promotion.
  • Absentees at an examination will be considered as having failed unless it is established that their absence was due to illness.(No false medical certificate is entertained)
  • No special arrangements will be made for pupils who for any reason are absent from the examination and there is no provision for retests.
  • The decision of the school authorities will be final with regard to promotions.
  • The school will not retain the answer scripts of the students beyond sixty days from the date of the examination.
  • The school will not be responsible for parent’s failure to see the progress report of their wards. Report Cards are to be collected only by parents/guardians on the Open Day.

Withdrawals

  • Application for Transfer Certificate must be given in writing in the prescribed form by the parents..
  • In the event of withdrawal of a student from the school, all dues must be cleared before the Transfer Certificate is issued.
  • Normally Transfer Certificate is sent to the Schools concerned by registered post after a month’s notice.
  • A fee of Rs.100 will be charged for the issue of Transfer Certificate.
  • The Application for T.C. should be signed by the person who signed the Admission form.

Dismissals

The School Management reserves itself the right to dismiss students who continuously fail to make satisfactory progress in their studies or whose conduct is, in a way, detrimental to the orderly life of the school.

  • Those students failing twice in the same class consecutive years will not be allowed to continue in the school.
  • Use or attempt to use unfair means in exams, tests and assignments are sufficient cause for dismissal.
  • Students who indulge in political propaganda or who organize fellow students in political faction on the premises of the school, or who otherwise engage themselves in party politics are liable to be expelled from the school.
  • The wards of those parents/guardians who obstruct the smooth functioning and vitiate the academic atmosphere of the school through their acts of omissions and commissions shall be liable to be dismissed from the school.
  • Smoking, bringing and consuming alcohol or narcotic drugs, disrespect towards the staff, bad moral influence, contempt of authority and willfully damaging school property will lead to the dismissal of the students from the school.
  • A student repeating a class for two consecutive years will have to be withdrawn from the school.

Fees Rules

  • All fees should be paid strictly as scheduled. All fees are paid in the bank. The challans to be collected from school office.
  • If fees are not paid within 30 days from the due date or not excused by a special arrangement students are liable to be sent home without prior notice or warning.
  • Pupils will not be allowed to sit for terminal or final examinations unless the fees have been paid to date.
  • Fees can be paid in Two equal installments or at one time at the beginning of the academic year.
  • There may be an annual increase of 10-20% in fees every year
  • The fee schedule and other changes are intimated to the parents seperately and may change as and when necessary.
  • Fees once paid will not be refunded.

The Following are the dates for payment of the school fees- on or before 15th June & 15th November

Evaluation & Assessment

There will be an on-going internal assessment of 50 marks each in all three terms. The class tests are conducted to cultivate the habit of a regular study pattern in students so that they are alert in class and watchful of their academic performance through the year.

There will be two term Examinations of 80 marks each, one conducted per term. Individual weightage of the examinations for the promotion shall be as follows: and three unit tests

A student has to secure 50% in each subject for a passing grade at the end of the year. A failure in English by itself or any other two subjects shall warrant a detention in the class. Code of Conduct

  • Salesian values like gentleness & simplicity is expected from every student.
  • Punctuality and regularity in attendance, proper school uniform, and gentlemanly/ladylike behaviour in and outside school is always expected of every Desalites. In all these matters, the parents co-operation is expected at all times.
  • The management reserves the right to dismiss students who continually fail to make satisfactory progress in their studies, or whose conduct is in any way detrimental to the orderly life of the school.
  • Pupils must stand up smartly and greet teachers who enter the classroom. They must also stand when the teacher leaves the classroom.
  • Honesty is expected of every pupil. If a pupil finds something which does not belong to him/her, he/she should inform the Principal/Head teachers about the articles found and leave the same in the office. Pupils who lose the article may also enquire about them in the School office.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the school premises without getting a gate pass duly signed by the Principal.
  • Damage to school property, however small, will not be condoned. Stringent disciplinary measures will be taken against such offenders. The parents will have to bear the expenses of the damaged property.
  • Students are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct in and outside the school. Hence, misbehaviour in public places and conveyance justifies dismissal. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, objectionable moral behaviour and above all discourtesy and disrespect to teachers are each a sufficient cause for dismissal from school.
  • On their way to and from school, students must remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet the visitors and the teachers of the school when they meet them.
  • During the absence of the teacher from class, students must obey the Monitor/Leader appointed to maintain order.
  • Every student must take part in Physical Training and Games, unless declared unfit on medical grounds or exempted by the Principal. Students are forbidden to join any outside sports organization without permission from the Principal.
