Independence Day

Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and grandeur at SFS ICSE School, Koppal. The esteemed chief guest of the occasion was Prof. Allamaprabhu Bettaduru. Accompanying him on the stage were Rev. Fr. Jabamalai, our principal, Rev. Fr. Matthew, our manager, and Rev. Fr. Jojo, principal of SFS High School, Koppal.

The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to the guests of honor by the welcome girls, who were then escorted to the stage by the school band. The school band accorded the chief guest a guard of honor with a salute. The role of the master of ceremonies was impeccably fulfilled by Chirag and Advika. The divine atmosphere was invoked through a melodious prayer song performed by the school choir.

Sai Pujan and Neha extended a gracious welcome to the esteemed guests of honor through the presentation of flower bouquets. The pivotal moment of the flag hoisting was gracefully carried out by the chief guest, followed by the national anthem. Paying homage to the nation's heroes, Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the guests of honor showered flower petals as a mark of respect.

The students of the 7th class stirred hearts with a heartwarming patriotic song, accompanied by the skillful piano melodies played by Sir Silvi and tabla beats masterfully played by Madhu. The event proceeded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the Kids Carnival Pre-KG category.

This was followed by a mesmerizing musical performance where a group of talented students, under the guidance of Sir Silvi, presented a soul-stirring rendition. The music group included Pramath and Adarsh on the guitar, Sharath and Vaibhav playing the Flute, Aditi on the keyboard, and Madhu skillfully handling the tabla.

Prizes were then awarded to the winners of the Kids Carnival LKG category. The President of the event, Rev. Fr. Matthew, addressed the gathering, sharing his profound thoughts on this historic occasion.

A creative fancy dress segment paid tribute to the freedom fighters who played a pivotal role in securing the nation's freedom. Each costume encapsulated the spirit of those visionaries who dared to dream and worked tirelessly for India's independence. Ganiya and Sankalap presented each student's attire, vividly describing the significance of each freedom fighter.

The winners of the Kids Carnival UKG category were felicitated with prizes. A kaleidoscope of classical and folk dances was then presented by the students, beautifully showcasing India's unity in diversity. The performances included Bharatanatyam, an ancient dance form from Tamil Nadu, Yakshagana a dramatic representation from Karnataka, Garba a vibrant Gujarati folk dance associated with Navratri festivities, Ghoomar a graceful Rajasthani folk dance, and the lively Lavani dance from Maharashtra.

Concluding the festivities, the chief guest addressed the audience, inspiring everyone with his words. The final act was an exhilarating display of skill and coordination, featuring hoop routines, lazim displays, skating feats, and aerobic dance performances. The students energetic performances were guided by the PT masters.

Rev. Fr. Jabamalai, our respected Principal, then delivered a few words on this auspicious day, encapsulating the pride and spirit of the celebration.
